Is it worth claying the windscreen?

As someone said the same paintwork contaminant also exists in glass?

I used g techniq stuff in my car and van. I found it pretty pants imo.

Was useless and smeered and didn't last long and was expensive and used it all in one go on the car and van.

I much preferred rain x. 1 bottle lasted a whole year and I applied it every time I washed.

However the g6 cleaner is brilliant.

Then you used too much!! You only have to used a tiny amount!

Yes it does smear initially, but after a couple of days it sorts itself out.

Honestly I used hardly any. It doesn't go along way, the bottles are too small.

2 vehicles with 3 layers on.

It's just too pricy to justy it imo. Rain x did the same and cost a fiver.

I gave @4thgenphil some stuff from where I used to work, can't remember if it was Wurth or Bohle but it is the stuff for cleaning, coming from someone who worked with glass and has mild cleaning obsessions

Echo Ratty too, RainX is fine for its value.

I did the old G4 polish followed by the G1/G2 sealant and hated it. If you used your wipers, which you have to now and then, it left micro bubbles of water and obscured vision. Apparently a trait of all glass sealants.

Now I just clay/polish when needed and use an IPA based glass cleaner to keep the glass clean. Never been better.

If you have wiper marks/scratches, consider the ceri glass and rayon pad I posted earlier in the thread. Going to get this for the Civic as the glass is terrible.
