Yes, but you won't get the sun visor, if you swap the whole assembly, you get to shield yourself from the sun too.

H+S issues is a smoke screen - they just don't fancy the job or aren't capable of doing it. It costs money to set up to do welding properly (equipment and training).
Simple replacement of bolt on panels or straightening of bent ones is far simpler/quicker/easier and less chances of cocking it up/come back, so there are better margins in it, that's why people would turn down welding work.

Plus if you're a coded welder (car body shops wouldn't be) you have to do 'x' amount of hours per month to be able to stay in ticket (skill maintenance). That's why although I'd have loved to keep coded welders on the books of places I've run, I ended up letting it all lapse, because there wasn't enough real work to keep them in ticket and I wasn't having blokes wasting time faffing about welding 'test pieces' just to maintain ticket, when there was plenty of other real work to do instead!

Well I have visited my local spray shop and have been quoted £200 max per arch, rust cut out. New metal put in. Primed and painted up done. Only drove past and thought drokk it I'll just see what they say. Explained the process seemed very knowledgeable....may even let him have a go I just worry.

That is seriously cheap. I would get out of bed for that. £300 plus vat would be a realistic price per arch not including bumper and door blending it.

I would want to see examples of their work.
Does the price include vat....is it fully guaranteed with a propper reciept etc etc

You want a propper written estimate or a quote that cannot increase in price.
