Rear fog 4th gen

Post by Prelude danny » Mon Nov 23, 2015 3:23 pm

Hi everyone, my fog light at the min is on the passenger side and got told it's on wrong side for the mot and needs to be on drivers side, I've seen preludes with a bracket and fog light in the bumper. Where can I get one cheap as they seem steep on ebay

Thanks

Ive gone for the cheapo option - bought a ring red universal fog light for about £8- you place that anywhere on the bottom lip of the back bumper - normally smack bang in the middle works ok ;) it comes with bolts and brakets so should be easy to fit :)

Thanks
rewire it into one of your reverse lights, then just replace the bulb for a red one :)

I put one of the cheap square ones from Ring hanging under the bumper, I added a couple of bullet connectors so I can remove it should I want to  no need to loose a reverse light that way.

A project on my to do list is to use diodes to wire up the spoiler brake light as the fog light when needed. I nabbed the idea off of my mechanic so hopefully it should be MOT friendly :?

If you want a quick fix, just unscrew it from the bumper, move it towards the middle/drivers side and re-attach it.

Yes true, might do that then get it put into the bumper

I'd go with swapping the drivers side reverse light for a bright red led bulb, and splicing the existing wiring to that. Gives a nice clean rear end on the car and it's an MOT pass. Did it to mine, tidy's the rear not having a massive light in or under the back bumper!

This way is the easiest and best looking IMO.
