Even with the stereo and voltmeter disconnected? I presumed you still had them connected, sorry bud.

Sorry Edu, I'm completely backed up with work to do on my own cars atm, have a friends birthday to go to on Saturday, so Sunday is the only day I have for mine.
Gayno's right about not trying to mess around any further, however, FBS2S is suggesting exactly the same as me as to how to fault find from here forwards and I think you'll be safe to do this. So step/step;
Gayno's right about not trying to mess around any further, however, FBS2S is suggesting exactly the same as me as to how to fault find from here forwards and I think you'll be safe to do this. So step/step;
- Unplug the radio from the iso connector, try a fuse.
If it still blows, leave the radio unplugged, unplug the voltmeter, try a fuse.
If it still blows then, it's a wiring problem or damage in the fuse box.
If it doesn't blow, plug the radio back in and see if the fuse blows. If it doesn't blow, then the problem is just the voltmeter. If it does blow with the radio back in, it looks like it's the voltmeter and radio. This is possible (could have drawn too much current through the circuit and damaged the radio/voltmeter before the fuse blew - unlikely, but possible depending on how the wiring was done).
