How do you make Gen4 headlights brighter?

To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

There are companies you can send headlights off to for re-chroming now.
Painting wouldn't really work, you wouldn't get anything like the proper reflective surface.

I suppose you could try silver vinyl wrap or similar: Mirror Chrome Silver Vinyl Car Wrap

You can heat-shrink it like window tinting film apparently, although could be hard to fit in a headlight casing without several different strips of the stuff. Probably much easier to get it re-chromed as you suggest.

I could do with getting my rear fog-light casing done as the reflective paint has almost all flaked off.

Or...

Silver nitrate, ammonium nitrate, dextrose and sodium hydroxide. Mix solutions of silver nitrate and ammonium nitrate together in one container. Dextrose in another. Put the light interior in the dextrose. Then add the silver/ammonium nitrate solution followed by the sodium hydroxide. Swirl it about it, pour away the remaining solution. Rinse with distilled water. Ta-da, silver plated light interiors. You could do it for less than the cost of a set of headlights.

Fun extra: the leftover solution forms an extremely sensitive explosive if you leave it to sit for a while. TBH the quantities you'll produce from the amount you'd need for a set of headlights would likely cause it to detonate under its own weight so be warned

Agreed, it's much easier just to buy them.

Suit yourself! It's cheap and easy and not that dangerous unless you're a total idiot. It takes a while to form and can't form in large quantities in one go because it self detonates. You would need a large quantity made little by little to hurt yourself badly. If you dispose of it right away it will be fine. When I have time I will make a video.

Look up vacuum deposition though, a company that can do that will be able to sort your headlights. ;)
