Accord/Lude Satnav harness

Post by sproggy29 » Fri Aug 15, 2014 9:04 am

Hi,

Not sure if this is even possible but I am thinking of fitting an accord sat nav from 2001 into my Lude, think I might need a harness though as I reckon its not a straight plug and play jobbie? anyone got a spare one languishing about the joint? I also found a nice little booster for £50, are these strictly required? again my lack of tech knowledge on these things is
Due to certain issues over the last week or so I am turning my attention to the interior, at least its cosy and warm in there....

if the lights dim when I put the stereo on do I need a new alt? Its not but the drain I will be putting on it will be fairly substantial.

If I create my own feed and put an additional inline fuse on the live and switch wire will this cause problems?

I have created a feed for my lighter issue, the lighter has a tiny fuse on the back, the switch has 2 settings 6amps and 10amps, then an soldered 10amp fuse set in line with the switch, of course I have placed to earth wire on the second prong and then cut into the live placing 2 leds as an extra buffer..... this franken thing is a bit much, I know, but will it work? :?
I go out to the beast shortly to find out..............

Sounds like an interesting mod, definitely can't see that being plug and play though, no!
