It does sound like your electrics have been got at doesn't it

Mine is a 4g, but if it's any help, the alarm ECU is in the passenger footwell. Just thinking if you could unplug it from the system and reconnect the original harnesses. May or may not help depending on what's been added though.

that's almost identical to what the green flag guy said, rip it all out and strip back to original wiring.
i am no good at that......

Contacted.my. Local Honda place, they want £80 to re code the key

is that about right?

Yea that's about right. I could do that for free on a sat afternoon but that's no good to you right now. Is the green key light flashing on the dash then??

nope, thought it was worth a bash, its not flashing opened up the cowling around the wheel and its q mess in there, i think it must have been nicked and then recovered or something cause its properly bodged together, defo parts now chaps

Have you had an auto-electrician look at it mate? I know it's additional expense now, but in the long run breaking your current car and buying a new one is probably going to set you back more than the cost of getting this sorted?

yep, i get that, and i wish it was that simple, this car cost me £350, i put £400 into her, for me its not viable to spend more time and money on in when next up is the gearbox, the body is still not straight, i have been ripped off and its put me in hospital, enough is enough i think
