3G and 4G battery types

Post by Space1999 » Wed Dec 27, 2017 10:49 pm

Both my 1990 3G and 1996 4G need new batteries. Can anyone tell me the official battery type (i.e. 027) used for either?

Be careful when using the online battery look-up things. I've found that some list batteries for preludes that have the terminals the wrong way round (don't know why).

I've recently bought new batteries for 2 of my 4g's and my green 3g. When I get a minute later on, I will dig out the details of what/where if I can...

Nb: I have always found eBay or batterymegastore.co.uk to be cheaper than euro's for equivalent / better batteries (even after euro discount code).

Looking back over order receipts...

4g was 068. I bought a Varta Blue Dynamic E23 from batterymegastore for £70.95 at the time.
Nb: 068 is equivalent to type 030, which also fits.

3g was 069. I bought a Varta Blue E24, also from batterymegastore for £60.44 at the time.
