Too many ads tell you how you should feel with their product, the R8 ad doesn't need to

Yes I know it didn't have silencers on in that add but I'm just talking about how quiete it was compared to other similar cars.

Like Ferrari I saw last week, F430! That was loud even just crushing.

I'm afraid modern supercars just sound pretty pants tbh.
No guts at all, just a high pitched screech.

Worst of all modern cars are the BMW's with their 'race tuned exhausts' (or whatever Bollocks they peddle about their M cars). They only ever sound like hot metal in pain. And not in the slightest good way... Advertising bullshit winning through into easily persuaded pretentious wanker subconscious over actual substence.

IMHO of course...
