Clock sending me to the future

Post by kris_aka_edu » Sat Jul 06, 2013 5:18 pm

Driving home from London on a hot day this happened:

It stopped after about 20 minutes of driving now the time is completely out.
I tried pushing the button and holding it down and fiddling with it but made no difference

@wurlycorner has just had the same problem, the clock's an independent device so either sort out the dodgy adjuster, or just replace it.

Either that or @Donald has been buying more Preludes in the future and converting them to time machines........

Yep, was gonna say that's what happened to me! (Though I think it was the minutes clocking up rather than hours :? I forget now)

It hasn't happened again since! (yet).

And yep, @Donald is the culprit, no doubt about it...

It has nothing to do with the ECU. ;)

Isn't the adjuster a simple push-button that works against a small pcb? If so, it could be conductive gunk - a short circuit.

Yes, it's probably a bit of dirt in the buttons gubbins.
