Gathers had stuff built by Clarion/Pioneer/Alpine/Kenwood from what I know.wurlycorner wrote:Not seen that CD player before either.
I have seen that headunit, which is an interesting one because its Kenny, rather than Alpine/Pioneer which is what all the other Gathers gear is.
From what I know, the CD/EQ is quite rare. If I can't find a Headunit to work with it, I'll be selling the CD/EQ.

Has it got a DIN plug on the back? If so, I reckon that CD/EQ might work with my style of Gathers Head Unit too.
As I'm only just round the corner (and have the centre console apart around the head unit atm) pop round Friday evening or sometime on Sat, if you want to try it out?

@wurlycorner here's a couple of pics of mine. On the back it has a lead with a round head and multiple pins, which must connect to the headunit, and then it has a splitter lead, one with a green end for the back of the CD/EQ and a normal sized one which I guess goes into the headunit as well.

That's a DIN plug, yep - that'll take the control signals from the head unit.
I'm guessing the other loom plugs into the main loom in between the car and the headunit to take auxilliary power to the CD unit and pass through all the other signals?
I reckon it's worth a try if you want to?

Yeah the loom plugs into the main audio loom, and then splits into the CD/EQ and the Stereo, taking power to both and speaker power away from both. I think the other lead with the circular end is the one that sends the signal for controls between the units.wurlycorner wrote:That's a DIN plug, yep - that'll take the control signals from the head unit.
