found out why the dti guage was mentioned for re-fitting the crank. Because we never saw this engine running, so don't know if there was any bottom end knock or something similar, when you put the crank back in, they say to check the end play as referred to here by the manualwurlycorner wrote:Why do you think you need a dti to refit the crank?
