I took the punt and bought a set of complete set of standard sized ACL/Clevite bearings from the US for about £50. When I installed I used plastigauge to check the tolerances with the service manual. It turned out they were all spot on.

Unfortunately plasti gauge can't measure to the same tolerance as honda require. Most engine builders work to .00 but honda seem to work to .000 the 1/100th of a milimeter is what vary's in the honda bearings. Everyone else just gets it close? This is fine but I'd want the honda accuracy :)
