Omg feels amazing haha! It's alright now, but it was as soon as I left when I pulled up to a stop it cut out. It seems to be ok now, the revs dip to about 200rpm then go back up. I've connected the intake properly now so all that's left is the old filter lol. Has anyone had a k&n panel filter on one of these engines? Can't seem to find an induction kit so may settle with one of those :)
Cheers

Excellent, glad that's Ll sorted and back with you at last!

Can't help on filters on that car, but nothing wrong with K&N panel filters in general.

had the car on the ramp today, dripping once or twice a min so no where near as bad as before :L
its dripping near the alternator belt, but its coming down onto the sump, checked the bolts and they're all tight, looked from up top and it looks fresh :S so its coming from underneath the alternator but just above the sump? at a guess i think as i put a thinner oil and a short oil filter which raises oil pressure its just leaking through the seals etc? I'l keep an eye on it, I've started putting 10-40 semi syn back in instead of the 5-40 fully syn to see if that makes a difference.
It's odd, it seems to leak when it wants, as soon as ive stopped and turned the engine off there's nothing dripping, and it doesnt drip all the time anyway :/ weird lol :L

There's no balancer shafts on the B20A1. Without looking I can't think of what could be leaking near the auxiliary belts. Have you checked things like your cam shaft seals etc.?

lol   no its fine. I don't know why but I got H22 in my mind, probably because I worked on 2 of them this eve . In that case then its only the cam seals and the rocker cover then!! oil could be tracking down inside the belt cover then re appearing lower down ??? :?

H22A 2nd gen would be mega 8-) The standard B series is a pretty sweet motor as well though. But yeah you're right, it's only the cam seals on that side of the head, or the rocker cover gasket. Fwiw I just checked my 2nd gen and there's traces of oil coming from both of those and streaking towards the bottom of the engine :?
