Dont worry all is in hand. All the welds will get a quick blast of paint. I aim to get the interior of the car painted later in the year.

Doge gentleman's sausage butt? Nice  Talking about helmets I had to get a new one as the motorcycle helmet I had didn't meet MSA standards. Not to worry as my new SNELL 2010 rated helmet is much nicer, fits better, and is more comfy 8-)

Edit - gentleman's sausage butt

Rather than paint, you could kit it out with one of your rugs that Donald's so keen on?

Yes! I like that idea

As part of the cage there will be a bar between the rear shock towers. This will serve as point for shoulder straps for the harness. Lap straps will be bolted to the existing seatbelt points and the crotch straps will be bolted through the floor of the car. I got some nice spreader plates to go underneath the car for the crotch straps.

Putting all the new bits on

Post by Merlin » Sat Apr 12, 2014 11:11 pm

I got the car back on Thursday. Vanzep kidly came up with me to collect the car. The cage is great IMO although there isnt much room to move about

When picking up the car there was a sweaty 5 mins where she wouldnt start. In the end I found that the fuel pump earth wire was disconnected from the chassis. Connecting up saw the car starting 8-)
