Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude - SLS Round 3 (drama)
The result is both good and bad. Bad that I wont be in the mix for a win every week but good that I can go and develop the car further without worrying about putting myself into the class above. Onwards and upwards!
TBH I think this just adds to the case that doing the competition based on whp/T is hard to govern.

Right, so this has proved nothing then, other than that 2 dyno's are not comparable with one another.
Unless they re-dyno'd your car on the same original Dyno, they don't know that you haven't fiddled with it since you had it dyno'd and classified (i.e. whether you have 'cheated' - incidentally, I was of course joking in my last post and I don't believe for a minute that you have!!!)
If they now decide to exclude the results of your previous dyno, then they will need to exclude and re-dyno all other cars that were dyno'd on that Dyno Dynamics machine? They've can't selectively excluding some but still allow others!
Also, were all the other cars in Class D dyno'd on this Mainline machine? If not, then how do you know the cars you're now competing against, shouldn't be in Class C?
A bit of a farce really... They'll need to restrict it all to one dyno in future to avoid this crap.

Agreed with wurly.
So by this logic, you now have the right to request ALL other cars in the comp. be redynoed and reclassified appropriately, rendering all previous placements invalid? I mean if you want to get technical, even running on the same dyno on two different days can make a difference. Can't see that happening.
I really don't see what this whole ordeal has achieved other keep someone's toys in their pram.
Regardless, congratulations on a Class D win

I am not going to get myself involved with any political decisions. I have had enough already.
TBH I would like to put this behind be now. Although the issue isn't over as they guys in the class above me wont be happy at being bumped down and me taking the points. I feel like I'd be the focus of people complaining in whatever group I am in.
That is the scientific way at looking at it. Don't worry I know you were joking.wurlycorner wrote:Unless they re-dyno'd your car on the same original Dyno, they don't know that you haven't fiddled with it since you had it dyno'd and classified (i.e. whether you have 'cheated' - incidentally, I was of course joking in my last post and I don't believe for a minute that you have!!!)

Very poor organization If it was me I would have a right pop at them. The only way to be sure if every car is classed right is for them to be measured on 1 dyno, that way no one can have a bitch about another competitor.Merlin wrote:The result is both good and bad.
