i've a f20b3 block which i intend to put a h22a head on in the future at some stage, but think the set up is similar to a b20 vtec conversion.

If you're planning on turboing, why bother with the H22 head?

F series turbo is fine, but may as well keep the F series head.

Meh, VTEC is overrated.

See if an f20c head fits, so you get vtec?
might need to get clever with the cam profiles though, because apparently the engine rotates the opposite way.

The issue with putting a VTEC head on a non VTEC block is that it is not designed to spin at 7,000 rpm+, and for reliability you'll have to have the bottom end balanced, etc. In which case you might as well just work with the H22 block anyway.
