How can i go about checking that lol?

The thing is my bellened of a dad drove over a speed bump way too quick on saturday night and thats when it started so it could be that?

get in your car, pop the bonnet start the engine (important !!!! leave the car in neutral with the handbrake on) get out the car lift the bonnet (remember to prop open the bonnet don't want it falling on your head!!) look down the gap between the inner wing and the engine (cambelt side that's the passenger side of the car ;) ) you should see a spinning wheel right down near the bottom of the engine (this will be the main pulley or Crank pulley if your feeling confident) there should be no wobble at all.
Now you can increase the engine revs by finding the throttle funnily enough its on the side of the throttle body you can imitate putting your foot on the accelerator by turning the pulley that's attached to the throttle body attached to the accelerator cable whilst listening for the knock and watching the pulley

Drive over to Ted at the weekend, give him a good pound of meat, point at your car and tell him you think you've broken it again and he'll tell you what's wrong? :D

btw if this was started by a speed bump incident, then unless the sump has taken a knock (which would show by a massive dent/scrape/crack on the bottom) then my money is anything BUT the insides of the engine!

Is the front cross member bent? The front/rear stiffener under the engine? The downpipe bracket on the back of the engine broken? Etc. Etc.

Lol merc your such a helmet, no wobbleage on the pulley

The knocking goes when on vtec :?

My traction bar has a small scrape but the sump is fine, it deffo deffp sounds like the knocking is inside the engine but its super hard to tell weather its from the top or bottom, like i said it drives perfect with no warning lights etc

Clearances ok? Could be a tappet nut come loose, that sounds awful.
