Re: Vtecmec's 4th Gen
Many thanks guys.
Well, not overly impressed with the sound quality of the cheapo headunit I had installed. Indeed, the sound quality was appalling and functionally was bum droppings. So I’ve fitted the repaired Kenwood back into the car and dug this bad boy out of storage; I bought it second hand in about 1995, so think it is as old as the car…..

Coupled with the harmon kardon ipod kit, the sound quality is pretty good.
So onto the paintwork, I went round the car and wet flatted both front wings and rear quarters, which took ages as I was using 3000’s paper (still it was easier than knocking back epoxy mastic with 400's!), but this minimised the risk of me breaking through the paint .
Once flatted I used a cutting polish with a Gliptone wool pad on my orbital polisher, followed by a less abrasive polish with a Gliptone finishing pad.
The front wings took some work being that the paint is over a year old, the quarters, whilst still hard work were considerably easier.
Only after shots I’m afraid, and not too many as it's now raining outside.

After polishing I waxed all the paint that is older than 3 months.
I’ve also cleaned up the front mudflaps (the rears won’t fit anymore due to the rear lip).

I’ve not fitted these yet as I intend to remove and paint the side skirts soon, hopefully before JAE.
