Re: Petee's Lude 4th Gen H23 - More parts just in
So my balls up with the boss is now all sorted thanks to a trip to @wurlycorner's shop of Lude.
Picked up a proper boss for my steering wheel. Turns out the part I had was an extension and detachable wheel hub. Oh well. Lesson learnt.
I also finally picked up my order on the original Prelude wind deflectors. Have wanted these a while

They needed some TLC so I've spent some time cleaning them while watching Netflix this evening.
In there original dirty state. Notice the tape gunk on one end...
someone trying to bodge them on.

As anyone who has these knows, they mist up well. So a couple of rub downs with some tcut soon got them starting to shine again.

And then a final rub down with polish to get that brand new look back on.

Now I just need to sort the clips out, as there a couple missing and the current ones are a bit grubby. Currently have them soaking in some coke to clear them up. Then I may need to fabricate a couple of clips and purchase some small screws to finish the job.
Tomorrow is brake day as well!!
Tackling the braided lines, new front discs and pads. Early start to get them done. Looking forward to it.

Excellent, well done - they've come up lovely! Not wasting any time...
I meant to say, for the clips at the back they use a plastic rivet to secure the clip to the deflector (instead of the gaffer tape the last person used
) @pushki has a stock of the plastic rivets.

Cheers @wurlycorner!! @pushki let me know when you've dug them out. I would like a set
No rush though as I need to find/fabricate some extra clips anyway.
so may as well get the job done.
However today in the sun me and my pal had a successful day.
Front disc and pads changed. Rear ride height adjusted. And steering wheel swapped.
Only downside was I couldn't fit the braided lines due to a rounded bolt, I'll load some pictures up later or tomorrow.
And I know am throwing the ABS warning light and 4WS. I think this us due to some vigorous braking to check the set up, so hoping it's just a reset required. Also need to figure out how to wire the horn up and disable the SRS warning light. But going to buy a pug and play set for that.
Also, my forearms feel like popeye!! Couple of stubborn bolts met there match

Yeah no time wasted, by the time I got back from yours I'd gone from a nice sunny day, to overcast the grey skies and rainwurlycorner wrote:Excellent, well done - they've come up lovely! Not wasting any time...
