SLS 2015 Round 6
Super Lap Scotland 2015 Round 6
Direction - Reverse
Conditions - Dry but a single shower

It was a huge crowd at Knockhill, 3rd largest of the year following the BTCC and British Super Bikes.

We had already done the maths and knew that 3rd place in the championship was in the bag, put in any sort of lap and 2nd was secure, and the only way I was going to win the championship was for James McEleny to screw up. So even though there was no pressure I went and took the wing off to see if I could get some more speed

Big mistake
The car felt like it was all over the place in comparison of how it is with the wing on. In practice 1 I was trying to get used to the lively rear end but in practice 2 I span out coming out of the last corner (Duffus). I felt the rear of the car go light which made wash out wide and get a wheel on the stones, after that I couldn't keep it together.

Someone got it on vid from the side of the track. It's low quality. Time link below:

The poor marshals tried to put the grass back together. Most of what is missing was rammed in my wheels.

For qualifying the wing was back on! Rain during the first run made it a gamble on how hard to push. after the first run I was top of the class but in the dryer 2nd run I was over taken by the Porsche.

In the single lap final I put in a decent run and finished 3rd.

So I finished 2nd in the championship which I am happy with
