Wanted: BB4 Fuel/Temp Gauge

Post by jjmartin349571 » Tue Oct 13, 2015 9:58 pm

Hi folks,

My fuel gauge and temp gauge have failed. Has anyone got the centre instrument panel from a BB4 going?? Mine doesn't have TCS, ABS or anything else really other than cruise control - would prefer an instrument panel that matches mine in terms of warning lights if possible. Will try and get a pic up of mine.

Cheers,
Josh

i think i have one here Josh :)
Its out of my BB4 - i took it out and replaced it with UKDM El dials. Dont think it has CC as my BB4 doesnt have that.
I will need to dig it out and check it has all the bulbs in it ;)

The fuel/temp gauge section just comes straight out of the dash unit so need to swap the whole section.
Handy if posting was required.
The clock also comes straight out too if replcing.
I have one set of gauges here too if needed in perfect order,i bought a dash unit piece to replace the check lights section ;)

Ive checked and got two panels - 1994 BB4 but no CC or 1993 BB1 with ABS & CC
neither is exactly what you are looking for

Greg's suggestion of swapping out the fuel/temp guage sounds like the best option ;)
didnt know you could do that:)

I have a fully working spare set I was going to chuck in the bin, because the black plastic front has gone sticky and is a bit cracked. You can have that for free though, if you want to mix and match the bits to sort out the problem.

I didn't realise the bits could be separated! That makes life simpler :)

Is it a ball ache to split the gauges from the warning light bank?

Iain, that would be great - I'll drop you a text tomorrow :)
