thermostat sizes.

Post by 4thgenphil » Wed Jan 27, 2016 10:17 pm

has any one got a UKDM 4th or 5th gen (both preferably) thermostat kicking about that they can measure the diameter off. i've just tried fitting an aftermarket thermostat to a jdm housing the the thermostat is way too small.

cheers

Is there any difference in size? I was swapping thermostats between the housing on my old H22a2 and current H22a.

As per the pic I measured this UKDM one I've got at approx 64mm, for an A8.

There are different sized stats.
I found that out when looking into Edu's overheating problem.
What defines which type is fitted to what though, I don't know.

I'll be at the barn tomorrow so I'll investigate the A2 I have there for you.

Have you measured your stat yet, so we know what size housing you are actually looking for???
