They've already gone, getting another ATR to break next week though. If I remember right though there is some wear on the drivers one so could do with retrimming.wurlycorner wrote:@Jack what are you doing with the interior of the ATR you've taken the engine out of?
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

First, sorry that I will now offend most of you guys but I am really pissed.
Like you already now I want to have some seats. OK so far no prob. Found now some on the "accordr.org" forum. But the seller is not really nice.
I don't like it when I get ripped of by britains because they think I am german or what?!?
Here is what he wrote me:
But why I am freaking out about is the fact that he wants 50-60pounds for packaging even after I told him what he only needs to package?!
I took care already that the seats are going to be picked up and he is asking for that big amount for basically doing nothing.
Sorry for the rant mates. Ludegen is best, never had problems with one of you guys.

Earlier he told me I should take care of the courier etc... No prob wanted to do this by myself anyway. To keep things in perspective, this is going to cost you something like:
Seats: £250.00
Packaging/ my time: £50 - £60
Courier per seat: £80 - £100
Total: c.£500 ???

That's bonkers.
I've never thought of charging for my time to pack/post - if it's something I don't like the idea of posting (or don't have the time to pack/post) you just say collection only, simple as that. No amount of money can change that.
And packaging would be the same whether posted within the UK or wider eu?

Ridiculous!
Don't know what to do about this honestly. Seats are in mint condition. no fag burn. no wear, no rubs or somehting else. but I don't want to pay him an extra loan for being an asshole
I did already arranged with some haulage firm to give me a quote and so on. So he can be 100% sure that I am not a fake buyer.
Any ideas?

Same thoughts Ratty! I just answered him if it's not a full time job that it's too much...RattyMcClelland wrote:If the seller a business owner breaking cars and in that trade for a living i can understand wanting money to pack stuff up against collection. It does take alot of time properly packaging stuff.
But if the seller is an average joe just selling seats then thats unacceptable.
Normally would say yes but it's 1000km one way and the Lude is not ready yet.4thgenphil wrote:Book a ferry, drive over, pick em up, drive back, quick ring lap, dinner, bed

Sorry that's Bollocks ratty.
Even if you're a professional breaker, the parts price is the parts price. That's what you do - you sell parts. You can't charge labour for the privilege of selling your wares. That's the overheads for running the business and should be in the parts price.
I've never rung a breaker and asked them how much for a part and they say X for the part and Y for postage, but I'm hot a charge you Z as well for the privilege of me selling you the part.
