i was thinking around £1500-£1800 i missed an absaloute peach on gumtree some months ago in sheffield and another stonking one in hull on gumtree they were between £700 and £1300 if i remember right

they may look stonking on an advert but in reality they are not
I had a friend travel 4 hrs to look at a gen 4 @750 and drove away as it was dreadful

yes in hindsight your spot on theres so many bumps scrapes not photographed they only tell you the best bits

would £1500-£1800 get something decentish straight with an mot manual under 100,000 miles ?

Mine is up for sale. Just passed 126k miles. Mot until Feb 17. Unfortunately there are a few car park dings and there is a very small spot of bumbling on the drivers side rear arch. And someone bumped into the back whilst I was in the shops and cracked the rear bumper. Loads of spares and it's up for £1750

sometimes it's worth paying more for a better example...if you can....
Or buying something with good engine and project it up to the way you want slowly....loads of parts available on here..

I got my A8 for less than that with 106k on it, MOT tax and no rust. 8-)

That was 5 years ago. Now it's dead.
