dont get me wrong honda's are capable cars and yes i love the civic fn2 dash it looks cool and the fn2 shape is different but honda went to town on the civic and cut the nsx the s2k and the lude replacement which never even made it to the drawing board.
They said they are dropping the sports coupes because its not what people want right when every other manufacturer started adding to their sports coupes.
Honda have dropped the ball big time made too many mistakes showing bad leadership no foresight slavish trend following with the hybrids that no one is buying and that effectivly have a lifespan of 7 years before the batteries need replacing and the car becomes worthless to anyone except some foresighted person who will rip out the hybrid jobby and drop a real engine in it

I'm the same, I just can't get excited about the majority of modern cars.. most are uninspired, flabby compromises.

The whole worlds brands obsessed now.. everyone wants a Snoredi TT

Don't they have to make and sell a certain qty of hybrids in order to keep selling in places like California?

Personally I think the insight is also way more interesting looking than the coma inducing prius, too? (as is pretty much every Toyota made since the 80s, FWIW...)

The recent civics have been anything but boring and undesirable against their competitors though? I thought the styling (in/out) was great and the dash put some style and quality looking/made modern technology in the mainstream like no other manufacturer was doing (don't know the current model well enough to comment on that). It was nice to drive too when I had one as a courtesy car (Si model lol), if rather gutless...

And I have to say, the Jazz is absolutely excellent. Best car in that class by a mile. A better drive than the civic tbh
That's part of the problem; the turd* is about as good as it gets. Actually, the CRV used to drive nicely, too. But it's not exactly an NSX...

The Civic, with its Astra-alike suspension and dangerous visibility, was a travesty of everything Honda once stood for. Unlike the VAGes, it's still half-reliable, but that's it really.

Thing is, the little Toyobaru proves it IS still possible to make a car once can see out of, and that IS a fun-to-drive with feelsome controls and an excellent driving position. It's somewhere between an S2000 and a 'Lude in character & feel.

Because everyone else is cheapskate and tries to make rubbish sports cars off the same plank as a CUV (CR-Z, Scirocco) they are rubbish to sit in and have no spark when you drive them.
