Yo @GreenyUK, your username looks familiar - did you ever buy a 4th gen from me in Redruth, Cornwall about 5 years ago? A Cassis red 2.3 with a VTEC swap (that never bloody worked)??

Yeah she was a beaut, no mate never did
Yes just bought my second the other week but it needs work.
I noticed today I'm suffering big time from mist/fog inside. Drove to to the shop by the time I got bag every window was thick with the stuff put the heater on and had to wait 10 mins for it's to mostly clear had to wipe the rest. My heater also sounds like concord on take off which can't be normal.

Shame you never got it to work..
Regarding the misty windows, that is generally the result of a leak - you said about a wet boot, that would cause this. Feel under all floor matts to see where (if at all) the carpets are wet. Water can travel from the boot right up to the front of the car!

Well I had a quick feel of the front carpets and they felt fine, but if it's just a lot of damp in them I guess I wouldn't feel any wetness anyway.
I'm going to remove the rear light and silicone the suckers lol so that's them eliminated. The boot seal looks fine.
I was thinking of getting a dehumidifier in the car for a good few days.
The problem I have is I have no where to work on the car, see if I had a nice double garage lol I could take all the carpet out and dry them.
Plus this ridiculous weather makes things hard work!

Or a leaking heater matrix can cause misted up windows.

Does the car smell slightly 'sweet' when the heater's been running?

Erm, I can't say it does really. I would imagine it would be quiet noticeable.
The only smell I pick up is that musty smell you get with water in your car you know?
It is not strong though so I imagine it can't be a lot of water.

I've got a small amount of water in my spare wheel well. Going to check sunroof drains and light seals as soon as. Boot seal is fine. You got a 'roof fella? Seems to be fairly common from what I've been reading on here.
