So Can anyone tell me where I can find the lock/unlock/common lines inside the car, i.e. not in the door?

They come into the cabin through the A pillar, about half way up. Passenger side is relatively easy to find, just take the kick panel off and you'll see where the loom comes through the pillar. The drivers side you need to take the kick panel and the fuse box out to see it. The looms then go upwards into the dash and across inside the dash.
There's a couple of connectors on either side where the door looms connect to the dash looms. They're different on jdm's and ukdm's IME. UKDMs have the connector plugs inside the A pillar, JDM's have the connectors up inside the dash and are a bitch to get at
There are some pics of the ukdm setup in my ukdm profile thread below, from where I retro-fitted folding mirrors (oem wiring would follow the same path for door locking)
