Free bump.

Not read enough about how the IAB's are operated, to be able to offer any advice yet, but hopefully someone on here will have?

been a while since I had them in my intake

but on standard intake manifold is there not a way to manually move them, at least to see if they are stuck

they are butterfly plates, they could possibly be stuck with gunk

Hmm, yes, so around where the hessitation is that he's seeing then...
So what does that mean then?
sorry i missed this post - there is a butterfly valve in the air intake resonator (which sits in the wheel arch on the drivers side)
this cant get corroded or gunked up and it can lead to it sticking a bit so you get a hesitation around 3k rpm

should be easy enough to remove and check its working ok - just jack up the car up at the front, remove the wheel, unclip half the mudflap and remove the 3 bolts on the box and remove it - clean/lube the butterfly valve and stem and refit it ;)

Sounds like an overrich because the 02 sensor is out of range until it warms up. ask your local mot station to put the emmisions pipe up its exhaust see if it is in range .
