Absolutely agree with LLL. If it's a daily there really isn't any point, you won't notice any benefit, only that the car gets more noisy/less comfortable etc.
I'd been driving Lisa's lude for about 5 months this year. That had quite a bit of the interior out (one reason or another), 17" rims and polybush insert engine mounts. I got my UKDM back on the road and first time I took it out, I remembered just how good a stock lude is. It's so very comfortable, decently quiet, smooth and nice to drive and yet still goes and handles really really well. Fantastic car in stock and I certainly will be sticking to my plans with the UKDM, keeping it basically competely stock.
Whereas with Lisa's, just with those small mods (with more to come) it's really noticeably more harsh/crashy and loud. Part of me thinks with Lisa's in fact we're slightly ruining the car tbh (it's much more tiring to use as a daily) but it depends what you want out of it and we're enjoying modifying and taking it somewhere. It has a different 'purpose'.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.
