Morning guys, update on my driveshaft, well I tryed to wiggle and pull it out but wouldn't budge so I had to leaver it out with screwdriver, then I took it half way out and pushed it I again and grabbed the rod of the drive shaft n whacked it in, there is a rubber lip on the gear box and it flush with that but not the gear box, I looked on the driveshaft on the other side and that also has a similar gap, so I take it that as far as it goes I did try pulling it out and whacking it back in but I think that how far it goes thanks for you help guys much appreciate, hope you all have a lovely day and god bless the lude generation

I was going to say, I had a look at the gearbox end of one of my driveshafts (the long one) last night and it doesn't have the snap ring at the end.. so possibly all my info was nonsense mate, sorry! Glad you got it done though, good job.

It should do. There should be set rings on the end that goes into the gearbox. I replaced my ones last time I had the drive shafts out,

Yeah that's what I thought, but there definitely isn't, I should've taken a photo - I will when I get home tonight.

Ah, that one's held in place by the half-shaft bearing, isn't it? Hence no need for a circlip at the inner end?
