Re: andyconnollys '98 S-Spec
Not been on in a while. Well thats the lude now got the ludegeneration stickers on
.
Still having radiator problems and idle problems but hoping the idle issue is down to the rad leak.
need to wait till next pay day if i want the mishimoto rad or i could just get the ebay one for £36....what du guys reckon ?
Bit of news on a personal basis aswell, finished my apprenticeship but company sacked all of us just as we finished and took on new ones, so basically looking for cheap labour. however i have bagged myself a new job in east kilbride in a company called Advanced Tool Manufacter Ltd. and guess what they make the press tools for car parts lol for honda, nissan, jag, landrover etc. Its a machine shop so might rustle up some custom parts, either from lightweight aluminium aircraft grade or even the toughest steel, we have cnc machine wire erosion tools etc so can make just about anything

Bought a mishimoto rad for my other motor. Looks good and is well made but it was a PITA to fit due to being bigger than standard. I asked if it was a direct fit and they said yes. Took me 5 hours to fit the rad.
Can only get one fan shroud on due to the turbo, no way they didn't know about that. Still I could always buy a slimeline fan from them for £££ notes

I think I'll save for the mishimoto
If it doesn't fit well I can make new mounts now I'm in a machine shop

Well now that Monikas learning to drive

She's now that into driving and tbh she's awesome. She is willing to let me turn the lude into a track car
and she would like a shot of it so looks like we just found a new luder

Aside from the obvious thing wrong with what you've said, can't you find something... less rare to noon around a track in?
Awesome flick!

Re: andyconnollys '98 S-Spec
It's all down to finances and storage space. I have the BMW for an everyday car and it's all been paid off so I don't owe on either car. I am looking at putting my flat up for sale and buying a house. I don't want to get rid of the lude but I can't afford another car to use for track. I also have a bunch of parts sitting waiting to be fitted and have just had the 300mm brake conversion. It will be easier and cost effective to use the prelude for the track, it's got decent power and I have those other parts to boost that, it's easy enough to strip out. It also has an oil leak so means track or not it needs a rebuild and this is the perfect opportunity to fit the mods I have and have a guy from work port polish it etc.Donald wrote:andyconnolly wrote:She is willing to let me turn the lude into a track car

If I was to find something less rare it would have to be a decision one or the other, and atm I don't want to give up the lude
