I didnt mean damage bud, meant when youve went in the gravel its moved the downpipe back but the header stayed in place as thats attached to the block. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah I know what you mean. Certainly hitting the gravel did not help. What I think has happened is that the bolts have come loose and the gasket shifted, probably from like you say hitting the gravel. The gasket has shifted and partially blocked the exhaust resulting in high engine temps, my oil temp spiked while on track while I experienced a drop in performance. Examining the gasket you could see that the "septum" of the gasket had been burnt though, as well as one side of it.

Copper is good to just shy of 1100 8-) interestingly though it is easier to cause a phase transition, e.g. melting, in copper than aluminium. Just for fun it's 'easier' to melt copper than water

I had cracking like this on my track lude & found an AP
article that said this was fine unless the cracks went
right out to the outer edge of the discs. It never caused
me any problems.

Yeah I have had this on Prelude discs before. While they are still safe to use they do give some judder as they are warming up. When they are hot they seem to feel ok.

Coverage of Rounds 4 & 5 (mainly round 5) will be on Motors TV on Friday 21st of August. Fingers crossed we will get to see some of the Lude 8-) Any of my in-car footage will have the LudeGeneration sticker in view.

It is our turn to have the big ass team trophy from the 2014 season for a few months, we have to share it amongst the team. In the 2014 season our team finished top of the team championship, a feat we are unlikely to repeat this year. We were top of the 2015 team championship after round 3, but a poor round 4 and 5 sees us 2nd from bottom with no chance of making up the difference in the last round :(

The trophy is ex-BTCC and was given to SLS by Gordon Shedden.
