unimog was too heavy and just sunk like the titanic into the boggy ground. got it dragged backwards to the road with a vauxhall frontera and the unimog winched itself out off the lorry on the road the other side of the ravine.£30,000 unimog loses to £300 frontera, unimog owner was a bit miffed to say the least :lol:

Engine suck any water in, or did it cut out before ending up in the ditch?

Its not that bad really, says it wasnt running when it went in going have a look at it tomorrow and see whats what. Drain the diff oil and gearbox oil check the dry sump tank which is on the drivers side so under waterr too pull the plugs out and turn it over and stick a new bottom arm on it
