As mentioned having got the radiator in I then got busy creating further problems for myself…firstly connecting up the coolant hoses. The civic ones for the main part were slightly short or had the wrong bends in, so I got hold of a set of prelude radiator hoses to play about with…these were too long and while I could cut them down and make them work I decided I didn’t like the look of radiator hoses and even swapping over to silicone ones wasn’t going to remedy it…..so…..
Also managed to get hold of a spare coolant outlet (think it was from Merlin in the end who managed to get it to me very quickly – thanks!) and I rapidly set about preparing it and got it all welded together by a friend of a friend..
Much better…..

For those of you paying attention you will notice that I now have no way of filling up the coolant system, or a radiator cap to release pressure if needed - this was intentional….and I will post up the solution as soon as I get the pictures sorted out
