I don't think so. As the screen it self is touch screen, so if the screen don't work then you can't press the buttons.

Earlier on in this thread (is it this thread?) it says that the touch part does still work if the backlight is drokked (so you can't see anything)

You can still use it you just can can't see the buttons or anything so it's not easy to use.

Mines doesn't work at all. Not even the touch screen

Backlight is only illumination. So if for eg. Your speedo backlight is not working is this mean you can't use it? Course you can but it's difficult at night.
I bet if illumination at yours Nit is OK you would be able to do one perfect working display from two of this

Gordon, if you want ill drive over to you and pick it up. Give me the unit. I'll get one of our engineering department to cast an eye over it. Then I'll give it to nitin if it works. Sort of a favour for a favour thing. I got you your screen. Changed auto box. You give me screen and I fix it. Give to nitin and I get lots of love from nitin.
