Hello :D

Post by col1986 » Tue Jul 29, 2014 9:16 pm

Hi all, just a quick introduction.

I have literally only registered this evening but I have been in possession of my 4th Gen BB4 since the end of May, I have been a bit of a voyeur and just been browsing as a guest for the last month and finally decided to register. After looking for information and a bit of a background on the 'lude online I found @honda-hardy's post in the cars for sale section.

The guy that I got it off of had only had it a few weeks and he needed something a little more family orientated, so I swapped it with a MK4 Golf V6 4Motion that I had laying around, being a bit of a "Honda nut" and having had a few in the past I just couldn't turn it down. It seems in the very short time that he had it he stripped it of all stickers/lights and subtle mods, he must of had a fiddle with the vTec controller which was actually lowered to 3.8k... Which is never healthy. He also seemed to of curbed the alloys quite a few times as in the original ad they looked mint. Bit of a shame but plans are in motion to put all of this right!

Now that's enough of the boring stuff, from experience of former owner clubs/forums you lot are bound to be picture whores as am I! I expect no less. Lets see if I can get this right first time and actually get a few pictures up for you guys. 8-)

Thanks guys, she is a good clean example. I have my own plans to make her "mine", some are ambitious, others are more realistic, but I don't want to ruin her by going too ott... I will be having a gander around the forums to get some more ideas as there are some awesome ludes around!

It was infact this one mate, I just needed a bit more information as with swapping vehicles in the past I have come across the odd dishonest person, I could see though that it was previously looked after well and I already had the information on the car before I actually met him. :geek:

ahhhhh, yeah i couldnt see the pictures on my work computer. something to do with the restrictions in host photobucket. but i can see the pics in the linked post.

how are you getting on with @amorosos old lude? very quick this one.

i work with the old owners brother, and yes it is well looked after. i think it too has a keisenspeed tensioner kit as well as the other goodies.

Welcome, glad you've signed up :-D
 looking back over the fs post, the car certainly was sporting some stickers on the bootlid back then!

It is great! Like you say it is very quick! Unfortunatly still limited to 112mph, so when I got her on the local drag strip to see what she can do she didn't perform to her potential there was so much more there, I am looking into this as I was provided with a spoon v2 chip that needs soldering on the ecu? this will apparently remove the limiter whilst also more importantly give better throttle response, I wouldn't be confident in trying this myself so I haven't got round to fitting it. All credit to the previous owner though, he did an excellent job in making her what she is today :D
