Hey up guys I've been offered a 5th gen 2.2 vti manual in red it's done 126k with good history mot till next April everything works as it should paint is a bit faded but guess that's the joys of it being red. The lad wants £500 for It as he's having a 3rd child so no room in the back does this seem about
Right and is there anything to look out for thanks
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

As Merlin says basically!
And yes, if it's in good nick, that's cheap for a 5th gen. What year is it?
If all the dash lights come on with ignition (4ws, srs, abs) and go out after the engine is started then happy days. If not, usually still not the end of the world and is easy to diagnose on these.
Check the handbrake works correctly, not as something to stop you buying the car if it's not (it's easy to fix) but just so you know, because it is a known weak point (they need servicing every year or so, otherwise they start to seize up and most people don't bother doing the servicing unfortunately...).
