My 1998 prelude

Post by Vtecbg » Mon Apr 13, 2015 5:37 pm

Hi everyone! I am newbie here, and first I want to apologize for my bad english.
I am from Serbia, Belgrade. I had more than 10 Honda's for last 10 years and prelude is one of the best Honda I ever drive.

Originaly it was BB9 2.0 F20A4. The car is painted before 2 years in black. Next mod was 282mm brake discs with calipers from VTi, and than I swapped an H22A5 with M2F5 (H22A2 4gen) manual transmission, ECU, exhaust, ignition and immobiliser...

There are also small underhood modification like:

EGR off
Short ram intake
De Cat
Oil catch can

After that, dyno shows 202hp and 234nm. Very satisfied for me.

Other mods:

Bixenon projectors in the headlight
Double din with GPS, DVD, Radio...
Kosei Racing K1 TS alloy wheel 6.3 kg with 205/45 R17 tyres

Plans for N/A tuning in another thread, where I need some advices :)

Hi, and welcome to LG.
Great looking Prelude!
What does that button do between the roof-button and foglight?
Cheers

Welcome. As others have said, your English is fine 8-)

What was your reason for egr removal, if you don't mind me asking? Did it cause any problems with faults on the ecu when you took it off?

Thanks!
That button was switch between gas / lpg. Car had installed LPG system. I don't know how much is LPG popular in England...

Yes, i had problem in 2000-3000 rpm range with little cutting. When I clossed EGR, everything work's great, except sometimes when the engine is cold, turn on CEL, code 12 - EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve.

My 1998 BB8 has 30mm drop on Eibach springs - handles well but scrapes over speed bumps all the time.

Plenty of people on here are/have run eibach springs and they're well regarded.
