New toy' new problems!!

Post by Ryan06 » Mon Sep 07, 2015 8:31 pm

Hi guys,,

Just bought a 2.2 vtec 97 prelude,

Just after advice and ideas I'm a agricultural engineer so I'm always keen to try something that's chucked at me!

The new car has a nightmare of a Honda imobiliser system has anyone taken one of these pain in the ass systems out or know anything about them??

Also, induction kit worth bothering with? If so anyone got one they want to sell me?

What else can I say, it's my first Honda literally love it, if anyone's got some good ideas to make it faster again I'm all ears great site! Look forward to hearing from anyone?!
And I'd love to put a picture up but have no idea how to do it!!!!!!
Ryan

if its a uk car the immobiliser is in the ecu so your stuck with it unless your talking about an aftermarket system for the induction kit the Honda System from a 99 lude is considered to be excellent when coupled with a K&N filter

Oh and welcome

Welcome.

The K&N part is a drop in filter for the standard air box. You should be able to get it from quite a few places, so have a search round online to see the cheapest place you can find.
