Im just after driven home from friends house in my dti vectra work horse 00 got round the corner from my house luckily enough and the car just losses drive. All lights a radio all working go to start it again and it fires up for few secs the off she goes again now will not start at all. Any thoughts and idead welcome thanks

You can have enough current to power all the lights etc, but to power a motor and turn over a high compression diesel engine takes a lot of juice. See if a jump start gets it going, if it does, time to get the battery and alternator checked out.spudep91 wrote:Never cgecked the current but all lights a radio , dash lights all working great

There's not a lot that can stop a diesel.
As you say, air-lock/blockage in the fuel, or the injection system isn't firing for some reason.
Can you hear or feel the injectors firing when you crank it over?
