Did they respond Gayno?

They've just announced their theme for next year (tbh I had no idea they even had themes  )

or advert that featured its chosen car
That sorts it, we can do that!

(though arguably, I would have to admit it's not quite such an eye catching advert in comparison to the one for my other cars... :? )

Yes they did.....
Dear Adam
I am afraid the deadline has past for new applications.
I will add you to the list to receive information on the 2015 event when this is released.
Kind regards
Alison
So we had missed it. I'll keep an eye out for the info for next year though.

Oh well, at least we're on the list for next year. I can go along this time, look at the Nissan Cedrics and grumble that they're the only jap cars there again

FFS, they're going all 80's on their Star cars too, so perfect year to get some 80's era Honda's there! :troll:

The Ford Anglia Owners Club tend to have a stand every year, well, certainly have had for as long as I can remember - the organisation of it is usually quite complex and time-consuming, and the likes of health and safety checks/documents that need to be filled in are ridiculous!

That said, it is a HUGE show, and to many people, if you (as a club) are not at that show, you don't exist. The Anglia Owners Club usually get a large number of new members or renewals happen at the NEC.

It's a purely static, indoor show, and no engines can be turned on. Cars typically need to be there on the Thursday for the setup, and you can't exit until the doors open on the Sunday afternoon - so anyone who is showing their car needs to be aware of this, and make suitable plans for at least their car to be there all weekend.

My dad had his Anglia there in 2007, and I went with him on the Thursday to get set up, which also included the Anglia Owners Club making a huge cake (as it was the 25th anniversary of the club) - we then went back home on Thursday evening, and we returned on the Sunday for the day!

As a visitor, you can walk around and glimpse at most of the cars in a day, but it'll be absolutely non-stop, however you could do with 2 days there at least to be able to take your time and both find the clubs hidden away in corners, and chat to people/look around the trade stands.

I'm *hoping* that maybe by 2015's show my Anglia will be on the road, and that I get invited by the Anglia club to display it - so if there's Preludes there too, I'll see you there... but I'm always there for one day at least, as we also use it to have the Club committee meeting.

Yeah, I've been a few times.

Can you get the Anglia owners club to request via the show organisers that the NEC sort their drokking AWFUL lighting out please? Gloomy and yellow, absolutely attrocious...
