From the time we met over the bridge for the wing mirrors the 5th was still going strong, bearing in mind that was a few years ago now but all from what you have said can be fixed with a bit of time.

Goodbye 5th gen! sorted exhaust, changed brake master cylinder, bleed front brakes no problems, went to do rears and the side that's already had the welding done has went through again!

That part was still solid. The rust had spread further than it previously did. Got to remember car has spent 17 years over here and never once had any under seal on it.

Totally gutted as I put a good amount of money into it but when the rust/hole is getting near the large trailing arm bush it’s a bit on the dangerous side.
