Armour All Protectant Semi-Matt, my arse.

Post by bb1boy » Wed Apr 10, 2013 2:11 pm

Just popped out in my lunch break to grab a bottle of this stuff for my dashboard because I don't like a glossy finish. Rubbed it on, rubbed it off and dammit, my dash is now shiny as hell. Not impressed.

I use Chemical Guys Natural Shine Dressing for a natural satin shine.

That CG stuff looks good, when this bottle of crap I've just bought runs out I may get some.

I use the amourall matt wipes - works fine for me but then I just lightly wipe over the dash rather than scrub it - it may be that there is a build up of silcone from cockpit spray so youd needs to wash the dash down with soap and water to remove this first before using the semi-matt stuff. :)

For a completely matt & shine free finish, just clean with an APC (all purpose cleaner), although this leaves the surface without any protection.

The best i have found Aerospace 303 Protectant, leaves a nice natural finish. Also great in engine bays.

Be wary of some as they can really streak if they get wet. I used to love Poorboys Natural Look Dressing, but open the door in the rain and your door panel will match your zebra mats.
