Still got the access hand brake condom to fit. That needs sewing in. Not my skill area. Wifish can do that.
I have a huge list of spoon parts to buy and fit. No money, hks gt100r turbo upgrade...no money.
Summer wheels first ready for end March. Then spend more money on mods in June...ish.

My S660 was missing the Blitz centre pipe or downpipe are we call it. I ordered it 3 montsh ago and it arrived in January and i fitted it.

Comparison between stock and Blitz. Blitz state its 3hp/3lbft increase. Gives a slightly meatier sound. "Slight."

Love the interior at night. You can see the Mph HUD in the middle of the screen.

Next on the agenda was the Sky Sound system again. Whilst its a HUGE improvement over the stock setup. It still lacking, its distorted in high volumes, lack sound stage and there isnt anything below 60hz. I need my subbass.
Now the issue is space. There is none. No boot for a sub, nothing, i mean nothing fits under the seats. No space behind the seats.
However, this is 2019, technology has moved on, chipsets are smaller so i thought maybe the usual footwell ECU mounting location that HOnda use might be gone and tucked into the OBD2 setup behind the dash. So i took a little look and found this.

Yep a chucky piece of white moulded foam. My thoughts....fibreglass mould and a small aftermarket 8" subwoofer from a BMW underseat sub upgrade, but how do i get a sub signal from an OEM setup that cannot be changed headunit wise.
BOOOM
Enter the Match M5DSP. I use the Helix P6DSP in my Prelude. Match is the next model series down from Audiotec fischer. Excellent OEM plug and play upgrade.
These are the 2 harnesses needed, complete plug and play, no cutting. Takes the signal from the headunit and goes into the DSP and from there its like any other amp but the harness goes back to the OEM harness to the speakers. Its just a bit bigger than a cigarette packet. Perfect for the S660.
In plug and play low power mode it will do 4x35w @4ohm and 160w for a sub at 2ohm. Give full xover, TA, phase and EQ control.

Plugged in with subwoofer wires hanging out and mounted up into the passenger kickwell.

The subwoofer.
Took a mould of the white foam, 2 layers of fibreglass and cut.

Wood (9mm birch ply) cut to shape roughly.

Speaker hole cut.

Mounted in place and fibreglassed with P40 inside and out where the wood attaches to the mould.

Milkshake (silk bodyfiller and extra epoxy resin to make it runny) the whole inside for strength and seals any air leaks. After this i poured water in to measure volume and check for leaks. I have just about 4litres, if including the space a sub will take once mounted.

Speaker wadding added to trick the sub into thinking its in a bigger enclosure and smoothen the enclouses Q since its small and will be peaky in its frequency response.

Sub mounted. Its an Audison APBMW S8 2ohm underseat sub. Very thin with a mounting depth of 1.5"

I forgot to take pictures but i deadened under the sub enclosure, secured it into place, placed a sheet of speaker wadding over the front of the sub to stop the carpet rattling. The actual cone of the sub is inside near the back so it doesnt extend outwards.
Once in place and carpet back you wont know its there unless you feel the bass from the passenger feet.
Over all it works flawlesly. After setting up the system, levelling the Left and right EQ the sub plays well to 40hz but tails off to 20hz pretty rapidly which was to be expected given the enclosure size.
But 45hz to 80hz is excellent especially with it corner loaded into the footwell. Even great bass with the roof off.
Front speaker play 80hz and up, rear headrest speakers are bandpassed 300hz to 4khz, heavily attenuated and lots of time delay so they act as ambience speakers. Zero distortion and much more dynamic.
Finally for tonight.
