Engine warning light on then off. UPDATE.

Morning all, just wanted to share this little issue with you that happened on my drive to Singapore last Saturday.
I was about an hour into the drive and wasn’t thrashing the car as it was pretty busy on the road due to the Hari Raya holiday. I saw the engine warning light come on and pulled up pretty smartish, fearing the worst. I switched off the engine, held my breath and started it again. The engine warning light did its normal thing, on for a second then straight out. I sat on the hard shoulder for a minute or two to see if it came back on, but thankfully the dash stayed dark.
So, I set off and although I was a bit edgy, the light never came back on for the rest of the trip.
I drove it on Sunday with no problems and have just been out and about this morning running some errands and all is well.
Any ideas as to this little wobble? A ghost in the machine perhaps?

mine did it yesterday. overtaking.... engine then ATTS lights come on half way through. stopped at the next garage for a splash and dash and to turn it off and on again and alls fine. not read the code yet but it'll have been some brainfart moment.

you dont need a code reader to read the code. just a paperclip or a piece of wire shoved into the service port in the passenger footwell then count the flashes. takes 1 minute if you care enough to bother.

Hi fellas, yes I would love to know how to this check procedure. It's funny, but last night I was thinking that maybe you guys all had a hand-held device or you hooked that plug up to your laptops.
If you'd be kind enough to give me the idiot guide of exactly what to do, then I'll definitely give it a go.

Find the little blue 2 port plug usually located in behind the plastic centre console in the driver side footwell.
Pop a split pin or wire and bridge the two point in the plug.
Turn the key to position 2 (don't turn car on)
And look at the EML light. It should flash in sequence.
Long = 10
Short = 1
So 2 long and 5 short would be 25. Then in the lude wiki the error code list is in there.

Yepv rear of the centre console on the transmission tunnel, under the back of the radio.
Small blue two pin plug (not the grey three pin plug next to it) that's not connected to anything.
If it's never been used before, it will be clipped in a holder and you'll need to press down the clip and pull it out as if it was a full connector.
If it's been used before, it's probably just tucked back in loose.
