this is what had been used to lock the steering , think its called red-neck fabricating :lol:

Am I missing something? If this was just used for an alignment, won't it work thereabouts? I get that using it to lock the 4ws while driving is a terrible idea but still.

It was used to permanently lock the rear whilst driving.

my problem was when i got the car the 4ws was not working not even the dash light coming on , someone had removed the bulb from the dash taken out any fuses to do with the 4ws and fitted the locking pin when all the 4ws needed was a few joints in the ecu resoldering to fix the fault , so someone had gone to more trouble to bodge around the fault than was needed to fix it :lol: :lol:

Oh I get that but for a redneck locking pin (despite how it was used). It seems like it would work.

yep it sure did work someone had done all that as a permanent repair

Have you plugged the locking pin hole in the rack?

Nice ingenuity on whoever made that pin though...

yep all plugged up with a proper bung :D think the plug is made from a glow plug :lol:
