Post by taz8520 » Fri Mar 01, 2013 4:44 pm

Are the exhaust gaskets the same on 5thgen models JDM and UK, downpipe to cat and cat to centre pipe ?

Where can I get these gaskets for a 4th gen? This is on my "to do" list.

I was amazed when I went into my local Honda dealer 2 weeks ago to get the cat-centre section gasket for the JDM, gave the guy the VIN and he said, 'back in a minute', disapeared into the back and came back with one in his hand! :D £4 or something for that one, I think?

Items 11 and 22 state they are gaskets, just over £4 each, but diagram shows them as circular?

Do you have the part number from yours @wurlycorner?

My dad got me a gasket for mine and it was a circular gasket, I didn't need it though as my flexi has broken yet again

Yeah, sorry I was being lazy...
I've made the big effort of walking over to the other side of the living room now to pick up the invoice and part (where else do you keep car parts?!)

18393-SS0-J30 "GASKT,PRECHAMBER" £3.62 list price, £4.34 after tax.

As you say, it's one of those circular metal crushable rings.
The one I bought would go where item 11 is on that drawing.

I'll put a photo up if you like?
