not sure but its double din size with tape player so must be old, dont remember any oem parts looking like that for the 4g though, the tv & sat nav looked differant as far as i know... :?

Hmmm...

Looks like a tape slot at the top and the screen looks like it's an LED graphic equaliser??? But then again looks like it might have a couple of USB slots on the right? Definitely interesting!

(Car is RUFF though!)

that looks to me like its just a vdu for the equaliser.

When I was looking at importing cars I saw a poo tonne of jap cars fitted with similar tape decks, I'm guessing it was the most bang up to date stuff at the time :?

It's a mid-to-late 1990s double DIN cassette stereo, and that is a graphic equaliser display. Obviously Japanese market as it was difficult to find such a thing here back then. Could be a Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, that sort of thing. Japanese FM stereo was 76-100MHz and so it won't receive a lot of our radio stations; it will also have AM stereo, which was popular in Japan back then!

You can solve that fm problem with a frequency expander so you can still use the same imported headunit tuner on UK frequencies.

Just means what the display shows, bears no relation to what you're tuned to LOL
