I went cold turkey for 12 years, or so, but owing to a really stressful time at work, the urge returned.

I turned to the e-cigs as a slightly safer alternative. It certainly reduces the urge to belt users one  Also work can't moan about me disappering for a fag break :P

So personally as a prop to giving up smoking..no, but, I don't "smoke" these anywhere as much as I used to smoke real cigs. Just having it sat in me shirt pocket seems to help psychologically ;)

True that you seem to 'smoke' less with these. Sometimes I actually forget about it. The craving to have a fag as soon as I wake up has gone.

me and the mrs started smoking these on new years day, i lasted a week and the mrs is still on them now, well done my lovely ;)
i have a mixture of real fag, rollie and e cig and im smoking far less than i was but can't get off the real ones due to some days being far too stressfull.

i gave up for 3 years once and started again but im determined to give up before it kills me  well hopefully.

I haven't ever smoked, but my mrs did when I met her (roll ups, plenty a day for about 16 years). Wanted to stop but her husband also smoked and was a right jobby, all her friends did and she worked with some really jobby people at work so she didn't feel able to (need for an escape etc.)

I never pushed it on her at all, but not long after getting with me she decided to stop. She went cold turkey on the Boots thing where you get free patches but have to go in every week to blow into their crafty cig detector machine to see if you're behaving or not (that kind of 'target driven' thing works for her).

She was on that for about 8 weeks I think and that was it, 2 years ago now. Very impressed with my lady for achieving it first time out :D
